About Prometheus
Prometheus Management Consulting Group (“Prometheus MCG” or “Prometheus”) was founded in 2026 by Joshua Peters to bring a data-driven, transformative perspective to political strategy and public discourse. Prometheus partners with campaigns, organizations, and public leaders to deliver strategic insights and innovative solutions tailored to today’s complex political landscape.
Josh brings over 15 years of experience in data analytics, strategy, and consulting, including work with Fortune 500 companies. He began his career at a Big Four accounting firm, where he specialized in compliance and financial statement audits for publicly traded companies in the banking and insurance sectors. He later transitioned into the technology sector in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park, serving as a quantitative data scientist and informatics specialist.
Josh has been recognized as an emerging public leader by the E.A. Morris Fellowship (2019) and the North Carolina Institute of Public Leadership (2021). He is widely regarded by peers and community leaders as a forward-thinking innovator and “game changer” in his field.
With leadership experience across both the Democratic and Republican parties in North Carolina, as well as service as a state executive committee member of emerging third parties like the North Carolina Forward Party, Josh has led organizational development efforts and helped design operational strategies for emerging political movements. This cross-partisan experience uniquely positions him to evaluate the political landscape through a nonpartisan lens and to advise organizations, candidates, and policymakers on navigating today’s environment with a focus on advancing solutions that serve the public good.
Josh is a recognized thought leader by the international honor society in philosophy, Phi Sigma Tau, as well as the American Association for the Advancement of Science where he contributes as a peer reviewer. He earned his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and his Master’s in Data Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in Computational Data Science and Engineering at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, with research focused on applied AI/ML computational methods and theory.
A lifelong North Carolinian, Josh has deep roots in the central Piedmont region. He was raised in Raleigh and spent much of his childhood in the Garner–Clayton area. He currently resides in Cary with his wife and three children.
